AFL 2025 round three LIVE updates: Blue brilliance: Carlton get the jump on Bulldogs in Marvel blockbuster

Carlton’s blistering start – with three goals inside the first eight minutes – helped them establish a 23-point quarter-time lead over a Bulldogs side that had plenty of opportunities but missed all four of their shots at goal.
In fact, the Dogs went inside 50 16 times to the Blues’ 12, but they had none of the line-breaking runs and slick ball movement that characterised Carlton’s four goals, two of which were kicked by dual Coleman medallist Charlie Curnow.
Jacob Weitering (eight disposals) has taken the points against Sam Darcy so far, with the beanpole Dog managing only one shot at goal. Adam Saad has also racked up eight touches at half-back, while James Harmes (10) and Ed Richards (nine) lead the way for the Bulldogs.
